My father came to the U.S. from Mexico to get better opportunities for my family. A long, hot road was literally what he went through.

He once told me that on his way to California, he experienced a deadly situation. He ran out of water! Fortunately, he made it and soon brought my mother, my sister, and my two brothers to this land of freedom.
